I Hear You | The No Bullsh*t Guide to a Happier Life

Welcome to episode 56. Our relationship with ourselves will deepen when we are ready to listen to our innermost thoughts and interpret them as the messengers for what we need to feel safe and content, rather than defining us as people at their face value. ‘I hear you’ – easier said than done? It takes trust and time to open up and truly listen to ourselves, but itโ€™s a journey worth taking. Listen in as I talk more about the clarity and peace that will come as a result โ€“ the ultimate prize of loving, seeing and hearing ourselves.

In this episode:

  • Feeling the fear โ€“ why you might find it uncomfortable to explore your thoughts on a deeper level, especially if itโ€™s for the first time.
  • Understanding how challenging thoughts about ourselves are just messages for our needs, values and boundaries.
  • The conscious and unconscious mind โ€“ how and why your primeval brain is trying to keep you safe.

Extra resource mentioned in this episode โ€“ The No BS Blend โ€˜Our thoughts and mental chatterโ€™ .

I found this podcast so useful, as a working parent who is trying to juggle a lot! Hearing Helenโ€™s authentic ways of dealing with common issues is so refreshing, and so helpful. I think I needed to hear this episode today, Iโ€™m hoping itโ€™s going to help me get back on track. Thank you Helen.
