Plant Based Diet | The No Bullsh*t Guide to a Happier Life

Welcome to episode 42. The benefits of adopting a plant-based diet are promoted all around us these days, so how can we incorporate these changes into our toolkit for a happier life and what difference can they really make? In todayโ€™s episode Iโ€™m highlighting the many benefits of reducing our intake of meat and animal products โ€“ both for our health and the health of our planet, and how we can all make simple changes without adding extra pressure or guilt to our plate.

In this episode:

  • The benefits of a more plant-based diet on our overall health and wellbeing.
  • Also, the benefits to the wider environmental issues we currently face.
  • How virtue-signalling isnโ€™t the aim, but the act of doing good by ourselves and the planet gives us those undeniable feel-good vibes.
  • How taking small steps and making small changes can take away the overwhelm and have a bigger long-term impact.

I absolutely loved this podcast Helen, you have simplified a subject that can seem so overwhelming. Thank you X

  2. Thank you for this episode, Helen! It was good to hear a move towards eating more plants discussed by an omnivore in a practical, non-hysterical and non-overwhelming way. I’m full-ethical-vegan, but realise the messaging from within the vegan community is often off-putting or overwhelming. What will help people make small changes – which then all add up to healthier bodies, a healthier planet and less animal suffering – is hearing someone like you talking about it and realising such changes are achievable.
